Christmas Cupcakes


                     4 oz butter (softened at room temp)

                     4 oz caster sugar

                     2 free range eggs

                     4 oz self-raising flour

                     1 tbsp milk


1) Preheat oven to 180C/350F/Gas 4 and place 14 paper cups on a baking tray.


2) Mix butter and sugar until smooth, then add flour and the beaten eggs. Stir until smooth and creamy and spoon into paper cups until they are 1/2 full.


3) Bake in oven for 10-15 mins, until golden brown. Allow to cool for 10mins and place on a wire rack.


                            For Icing

                  A can of ready made cupcake icing

                  A few drops of food colouring


                  silver balls

                 100s and 1000s

                 white chocolate stars


1) Squirt icing on top of cakes, pre-mixing in a bowl with food colouring where necessary.


2) Smooth with a damp knife, and add toppings.


3) Place a candle in each cake, light them and then make a Christmas Wish.

Magic Cocoa


                2 spoonfuls drinking chocolate

                1 cupful of hot milk

                 whipped cream


                 white chocolate stars

                 silver balls


1) Heat milk in a saucepan and bring to the boil, stirring in the drinking chocolate gradually.


2) Pour into a mug and squirt whipped cream on top, adding silver balls, marshmallows and white chocolate stars for decoration.


3) Enjoy - and think of the magic of Christmas.
